Exploring the tranquil Talisay Batangas
I have been to Talisay Batangas countless times. Talisay is one of the gateways leading to the second summer capital of the Philippines: Tagaytay City. Tagaytay, which boasts of cool climate even during summer season has a great commanding view of the Taal Volcano and the Taal Lake.
Play your favorite game at home
I have been to Casino twice and the first time I enter the vicinity, I cannot help but to admire the entrance. It was like I was coming inside the cave. Nope, I am just kidding. It was like I was going to the theatre’s hall actually, but it was more of like a museum because I don’t know, is it the image in the Da Vinci Code that I saw?
But towards inside are the sounds of the slot machines, the sounds which the old lady in this house is very eager to hear.
I don’t really like to be inside the slot machines hall though, especially when I realized that I was losing my $10.
Just a few weeks ago, I found out that my uncle’s friends are into playing cards, blackjack in particular.
Imagine they have to travel three hours from their place to Casino Rama just to play, so when they got the chance to get some break from work they decided to come over at our place and spend most of their daytime playing blackjack in the casino since we are close there.
And three days wasn’t enough for them, geez! And they even plan for their next trip. But I don’t think they need to spend an exasperating trip in the snowy road now, because they learned about this free online blackjack and they can play their favorite games right inside their comfy home.
And now no one’s going to snatch my room for few days. That’s cool.
Photography fever
MY DAUGHTER GEM wants to hone her skills in photography and has been bugging me to buy her a DSLR. (Yes, she too, has caught the photography fever, hehe.) I told her a DSLR will have to wait because we need to give priority to other more important and urgent matters such as her tuition fees and her brother’s Nursing board review expenses.
But that does not discourage her from pursuing this interest. She keeps taking pictures everywhere, using her cam phone. Or sometimes she borrows cams from friends.
(Side Note: I also like photography and at one time planned to enroll in photography workshops. But jeez… when you are a working mother, you’d wish there was a 13th hour on the clock just so you can squeeze in everything you need and want to do in a day.)

A Mediterranean Binge at the Mall of Asia
Last week my friend Gy, and I decided to meet in Mall of Asia. As always, we do our chitchats over a meal. But this time, we never had any specific restaurant of choice. So we strolled the entire Mall of Asia in search for the food joint where we could eat and talk. Then we passed by Cafe Mediterranean. We decided to stay here. Since it will be our first time to try their food, though we both are not new to Mediterranean cuisine.
