Plants vs. Zombies 2 coming to Android

The sequel of the very popular Plants vs. Zombies is now finally landing on Google Play store very soon.

After enjoying its exclusivity with iOS, Plants vs. Zombies 2 will soon roll out globally to your Android devices running version 2.3 Gingerbread and up. Published by EA, PvZ 2 is free-to-play like any other games launched within the past months so expect to have in-app purchases through out the game that should help you finish its story.

You might want to check out the Google Play page of PvZ 2 here.

It is currently under soft launching in selected countries. So better watch out when it comes here in PH. We will update you once it is up.

Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare is weirdly amazing

In addition to its sequel, “It’s About Time!”, PopCap has another version in the pipeline - Garden Warfare. As you’d expect, this one is a third-person shooter game with several twists.

Well, for one, the graphics are no joke. Garden Warfare will obviously need a specific amount of power to run; it is expected to come out first for the Xbox 360 & the Xbox One, while PCs and PlayStations will catch up.

Another twist is that, it’s very rare that we get to see games like this. First & third person shooters nowadays tend to be quite mature & violent, and dare I say repetitive as they just add new guns & maps while improving the graphics every year. However, with this one, I think it’s safe to say that most young & mature gamers alike will finally get to meet halfway – killing zombies using fruits and vegetables.

Here is the teaser trailer:

As the gameplay trailer below suggests, you will get to play as different plants with different specialties. There will be healer plants like the Sunflower while the others will specialize in long-range, melee & so on. Bosses are seen here too, with dancing zombies & the like.

Plants VS Zombies sequel: It’s About Time!

I think we can all agree that it’s probably about time for the much loved Plants VS Zombies to have a sequel, right? Well, it seems that Electronic Arts also feels the same way and have already spiced things up a bit in preparation of the highly anticipated release which is rumored to be due next month.

Above is just one of the teaser photos uploaded by the game devs on their Twitter account. If you’re a gamer, you’ll immediately pick up the humor here. But for the benefit of those who don’t, that’s actually a parody of one of EA’s first-person-shooting game called Medal of Honor. And as the old TV Shopping Channel adage says, “But wait, there’s more…”

Here’s another one which is a parody of Dead Space.

We’re not exactly sure if these renders are plainly intended for spoof or the game dev is planning to incorporate some of the features of the games mentioned above in the PVZ sequel. If we’re fortunate enough, we won’t have to wonder any longer as the game is speculated to make its debut on this year’s E3 convention. For now, here’s a quick preview on what EA has in store for the upcoming release:
