Samsung Galaxy Note 3 vs Sony Xperia Z1 vs LG G2

Greetings, spec fans! Just recently, Samsung unveiled the Galaxy Note 3 & Sony, the Xperia Z1. Both phones pack the best punches as they feature huge displays, fast Snapdragon 800 CPUs and more. Now, let’s see how they fare up against their closest competition — the LG G2.

Galaxy Xperia G2

If you would notice, all these devices fall into the same product category. They’re all packing 5-inch or larger 1080p displays, boasting Snapdragon 800 chipsets & running Android.

As you can see, the Galaxy Note 3 takes the crown in most of the categories. It has the largest display, the highest RAM, the most expandable storage, the only one to offer UHD video recording, Android 4.3, the juiciest battery and the thinnest package; not to mention it also has that improved S-Pen.

However, not everyone enjoys a big display. With that said, the Sony Xperia Z1 takes the crown by being the one to pack the sharpest pixel density. The Z1 also features a 20.7 megapixel camera that has been put a lot of work into. All of that is wrapped around in a glass & aluminum body that is waterproof.

At 143g, the LG G2 is the lightest among the triad, but it’s also the thickest. It also doesn’t offer expandable storage. Apart from that, the LG G2 doesn’t seem to fail when compared to its new competitors while not offering anything unique as well.

On the brighter side, while the Galaxy Note 3 & Xperia Z1 had the advantage of more technology for a later release, the LG G2 will be launching here in the Philippines earlier – this upcoming 25th.

So, which one will be your Android pick? Or are you waiting for something like the HTC One Max, the next iPhone / BlackBerry, or the Noki *cough* Microsoft Lumia phablet? Feel free to leave your comments down below.

LG G2 official; 2.3GHz CPU, 5.2-inch fHD & 3,000mAh

Following one of the company’s most successful phones, the Optimus G, LG has finally announced its successor – the LG G2. The brand Optimus has been omitted from the naming this time, and a lot of improvements are promised as the Korean company plays out their card.

LG Optimus G2

On a hardware standpoint, the LG G2 packs a 5.2-inch 1080 x 1920 Tru-HD IPS+ LCD display, larger than the G, but smaller than the G Pro. Also, a 2.3GHz quad-core Snapdragon 800 CPU is running the show alongside the Adreno 330 GPU, 2GB RAM and a 3,000mAh battery.

The glass and crystal-patterned backing is nowhere to be found here anymore, as it is replaced by a texturized one. On top of that will be the 13 megapixel camera w/ LED flash and the uniquely placed volume & power buttons, which aims at making volume adjusting and ergonomics convenient when your fingers are on the back of your phone.

The bezels on the front side of the device are also thinner now, and LG even had the capacitive buttons removed to make way for on-screen ones. All of this is supposed to result in a more manageable form factor.

“Learning from you”

Software consists of highlights as well. From unlocking the phone & guest profiles to app shortcuts & gestures, LG has you covered with the little things as the additions found in the company’s Android UI is just plenty and quite a mouthful.

The phone will be available in black & in white colors only. Date of & price at launch is still unknown as of the moment, but it will slowly roll out internationally soon.
