Telegram app: simple, secure, self-destructing messaging

There are a lot of messaging apps that I have tried using and for some reason, things just go crashing down. It’s either too slow, gimmicky, too buggy or no one is just there. Now, out of curiosity, I tried out this new thing called Telegram which allows a lot of privacy options with fast services all in a very simple interface and it is indeed very promising.

Telegram

Messaging apps have been at war now for quite awhile and I have to say that it has been very chaotic. Right now, I have BBM, Skype, Line, an abandoned Viber, Hangouts and probably more that I forgot about already – everything has been lacking. With Telegram, I got the things that I am looking for:

  • It’s really simple.
  • No ads!
  • Ability to set delete timer for messages.
  • Safe and secure from hacks.
  • It’s free.
  • Really fast and not irritating to use.

It’s available on both iOS and Android for downloads. So far, the only thing that holds the app back for me is its amount of users here in the PH (it’s already topping the charts in other places around the world). At the moment, I only have one contact which is a huge problem for something called a messaging app – but I think with the right features and capabilities, users are not far away. To have a good idea of what I’m talking about, download it now here and here for iOS and Android respectively.

Squishy Bird: The Solution To Your Flappy Bird Stress

If you haven’t heard of it or played it yet, Flappy Birds is a game for both Android and iOS that is insanely hard and has driven people crazy over the past few days. If you have played it however, you’re probably so pissed now because that stupid bird keeps on hitting the pipes and that you can’t even get a medal. Too stressed? Play Squishy Bird.

SQUISHY BIRD

Squishy Bird isn’t a downloadable app, you can immediately play it on the internet with your browser. Basically, the goal of the game is to not let any bird pass through the pipes – you have to squish the blood out of them with a click. If one passes, you lose. It’s a lot easier than the Flappy Bird game too, and squishing that no good bird already feels just as good as getting a high score.

Ready to splat some birds? You can check it out here.

Globe releases dedicated GoSakto app

Globe’s “Create Your Own Promo” prepaid service, GoSakto, now finally has a smartphone app.

GoSakto

Before, Globe users have to dial *143# first and have to go through quite a number of inconvenient steps. With the new smartphone app however, users can simply tap into promos without much hassle, not to mention it looks prettier than the usual process. The network will provide you with a PIN through SMS and you’ll have to input that code to gain access to the service.

The app is available for free on both Android and iOS. You can download them here and here respectively.

App Trending: the Flappy Bird game

I used to see people boasting their Temple Run scores all around the social media. Fortunately (or unfortunately), something replaced it already – Flappy Bird. It’s free, it has bad graphics, it’s insanely hard, it’s pointless and most of all, it’s frustratingly addicting.

FLAPPY BIRD

This is impossible.

The game simply involves tapping to flap the bird into flying. The goal is to get a high score without hitting the pipes and that’s it. As of writing, I only got 22 as my personal high score. Someone I knew gave me a tip to fly low rather than flying high.

You should try it out if you want to know what we mean. It’s free for both iOS and Android, in which you can download them here and here respectively. Feel free to tell us what you think!
