from the ground

I should have do this more often. Sit at the sidewalks while waiting for the bus, wear my very happy smile brought by beautiful scenes I saw at the lakeshore and take pictures from the ground. It doesn’t matter how long I walked.  It doesn’t matter if I made that wrong decision of leaving the bus stop two minutes before it came.

With that little ironic thing, I know I am living my life to the fullest.

autumn

–she’s like a fine day with fleecy clouds breezing in,  just when you’re expecting a storm– Barbara Nickel ( Hannah Waters and the daughters of Johann Sebastian Bach.)

Now:
•    I don’t care if the bus left me a hundredth of times.
•    I don’t care if I don’t have change for bus fare,
•    or I lost $10 and because of that I can never take a bus for that day.
•    I don’t care if I left, or if I lost my debit card again.
•    I don’t even care if I don’t have PIN for my credit card.
When I see how gorgeous my surrounding is…I don’t care no more.  I can walk anyway and take pictures.

look what i found!

I was trying to tweak them so they will look more presentable, adjust more exposure, use presets but I got used to film photos that once I scanned them, I post them.  I don’t think I will be comfortable to photo editing anymore after hooking up with film so I can only show you what I got or what I can do.

Sorry for filling your eyes with ducks. But if you want more, here to more ducks, and more ducks from my film

lest we forget

It is Remembrance Day. I don’t wear a poppy as some Canadians do, and I am not sure if I have seen Asian-Canadians wearing one. But the atmosphere was so strong as I’ve seen many people in uniforms when I was walking downtown.  There was grouped of people marching towards Centennial Park and at the hospital this morning, we were asked to give a moment of silence in remembrance of the soldiers, men and women who served and continues to serve during times of war or conflict of peace.

For me, I remember those young fallen soldiers in Afghanistan. I don’t understand why they are there.

Room 3404-2 (RVH)

i don’t know if i heard it right. i asked Ant’s nurse for a hospital gown before I left this evening, she asked me to check the third drawer where the gowns usually settled in.  of course, i know gowns always there but as a sign of respect, i always have to ask first.

when i turned my back and walked to Ant’s room, I heard she says “she should work here”
