Pokémon Go around the globe, or at least where it is available, have been driving trainers crazy in pursuit of catching their desired Pokémons. While the game is generally made for entertainment, a man from New Jersey, USA is not happy about it.
The companies behind the game — Nintendo, Pokemon Company, and Niantic — are being sued for trespassing because they’re placing Pokéstops and Pokémon gym on private property with the owner’s consent. The plaintiff just realized this when strangers began to flock outside his home with their phones.
Not only that, the plaintiff stated that at least five individuals knocked on his door and asked to get into his backyard so that they can catch a Pokémon that’s by standing on his property. He also said that the companies are profiting off a game that uses players to trespass on private property.
The three companies have been given 21 days to act which was filed last July 29th. They are required to answered two general questions about the game: (1) Is the game enticing people to trespass on private property? (2) Are the defendants profiting from that?
But the question remains, when is the official Philippine availability?
