DOTC launches MRT3 Passenger Queue Monitoring System

The Department of Transportation and Communications has recently launched the MRT3 Passenger Queue Monitoring System allowing commuters to see online the status of passenger queues in MRT3 stations.

The monitoring system launched on July 25. It’s a website with a simple interface – clicking at the MRT3 stations listed on the left, it will load the location via Google Maps. If there’s a queue you will see a red line, showing how long the passenger queue is.

According to the website, the feature is still in beta so we’ll see improvements as it progresses. You can still try it though by clicking here.

Alternatively, the DOTC also does regular tweet updates on their official DOTC-MRT3 Twitter account at @dotcmrt3. It shows, passenger queue status with Google Maps screenshot as well as train availability.
