List of Devices that support 700MHz LTE

Now that both Globe and PLDT/Smart partly owns the much-coveted 700MHz LTE frequency, the next question is which smartphones support this band? So we looked into the entire line of smartphones that supports the 700MHz frequency.

There are two potential bands in the 700MHz frequency that we are looking — Band 12 (700MHz) and Band 28 (700MHz). We’re not still sure which of the two will be deployed by Globe and Smart but for the purposes of this chart, we looked into Band 28 (700MHz) since it’s the band where a lot of devices are supported. Update: According to a source inside the telco, they are still waiting for NTC to assign which band to use.

Some devices are very highly compatible, like the Huawei P9/P9 Plus, LG G5, and the Galaxy S7/S7 Edge, since they both support Band 12 and Band 28 of the 700MHz frequency.

We’re still adding to this table as we find new devices. Also, note that a lot of the devices that different variants depending on the region, some of the devices listed above and distributed in the Philippines may not support the 700MHz frequency. The same is true with the chipsets — not all devices running the same chipset may support the band. We will make additional footnotes as we go along.

Do chime in on the comments section below if you think we missed a device.
