Razer Launches an Updated Nabu Smartband

Razer took the stage at this year’s PAX (Penny Arcade eXpo) video game convention to announce the new and improved Nabu activity tracker.

The first version of the Nabu was first introduced back in CES 2014 but didn’t really take flight and was instead overshadowed by its cheaper counterpart, the Nabu X.

Fast forward to today, Razer has made some minor changes on the new Nabu’s design while maintaining most of the features that came with its precursor. The new Nabu also features the company’s proprietary Pulse technology which allows users to share information with other Nabu users.

Like any notable smartbands out there, the Razer Nabu is equipped with sensors that allow it to track different statistics like distance travelled, calories burnt and even sleeping habits. However, unlike some of its contemporaries, users can’t take the Nabu out with them for a swim.

Pre-order for the new Razer Nabu will start on September 15. It can be had for $99.99 and is scheduled to ship on October.
