New iPhone 8 concept surfaces, looks really sleek

Not everyone liked the design and build of the current iPhone 6 handsets. Not to mention all the hubbub about its bendable form factor previously. Fast forward to this week, a graphic designer posts on Behance his vision for the iPhone 8 and it exudes elegance and beauty at the same time.

The concept image shows a unibody design with glass as the key element for the handset. The front, back, top, and bottom are all reinforced with said glass, with aluminum strips flanking the screen. The artist also made some variations for the models like a glossy finish in black and white, as well as matte finish – while still staying within Apple’s design scheme for its button placements, toggle switch, etc.

The fact that this is an iPhone 8 concept, skipping iPhone 7, could simply mean that the maker thinks this render still isn’t possible to come into production until about the time iPhone 8 comes out (most likely due to materials used and the like). With this fresh look, maybe Apple could take a hint in designing their upcoming phones?

Lumia-830

Details about the upcoming version of Windows Phone are currently scarce considering that it might still be in the early stage of development. Nevertheless, Microsoft’s confirmation should be a good a news to all users wielding a WP8 device because they won’t suffer the same fate of users who purchased Windows Phone 7 handsets not knowing that it won’t make the jump to WP8.

Print your smartphone snaps on the fly with Prynt

Back in its heyday, Polaroid cameras were so popular because users can print their snaps themselves. A French startup is looking to revive that trend with the release of Prynt –a smartphone case that has built-in printer.

Prynt

The recent Prynt prototype is built for smartphones with 4.x-inch display and can hold up to 30 sheets of paper. To accommodate more users, the company is planning to release a case that will be compatible with smartphones that has a 5-inch and up display.

The printer inside of it can print pictures in less than a minute, though the company is looking to cut the processing time by half in the final build. The company is also keen to point out that unlike dedicated printers, Prynt establishes a physical connection to your handset, allowing the picture to be processed much faster than having to transfer it via Wi-Fi or Bluetooth.

Prynt case

According to the company, they’re planning to put up a Kickstarter campaign early next year for Prynt. There’s currently no word how much will the company sell their awesome smartphone case, but supporters of the project will get the Prynt for USD99 when it hits the startup platform.
