Okada-led Tiger Resort, Leisure and Entertainment Inc. extends its reach to help those in need and takes on the ice bucket challenge to help spread awareness for the fatal Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS), also known as Lou Gehrig’s disease. “Our focus at Tiger is supporting the people and communities in the Philippines. However as part of Universal Group, we also have a global outlook to worthwhile causes and supporting the quest to find a cure for ALS is one of those,” said Kenji Sugiyama, Tiger Resort president. In response to the ice bucket challenge from PAGCOR, Tiger executives and employees gathered in front of the construction site of Manila Bay Resort, and doused themselves with ice-cold water. To further spread ALS awareness, Sugiyama challenged Miurashin Architect + Associates and Hanmi Global.
