Olympus PEN Lite E-PL7 announced, selfie features in tow

Olympus has recently launched the sixth iteration of its digital PEN Lite camera, the PEN Lite E-PL7, which inherits the rangefinder-inspired form factor of its Micro Four-Thirds predecessor, but offers added features to make it more relevant in this selfie-centric age.

By and large, the new PEN E-PL7’s design doesn’t vary that much from the PEN E-PL5 back in 2012. It still has the compact and lightweight body, coupled with uncluttered button and ergonomic design.

What changed though is the addition of a mechanism behind the display which allows it to flip downwards by 180 degrees, making it easier for users to take selfies in the process.

Another new additions to the PEN E-PL7’s arsenal are the in-built 3-axis Image Stabilization, 81-point Autofocus Point and the ability to shoot sequential photos at 8fps rate.
