Solaire Resort and Casino announces the opening of THE THEATRE at Solaire this November; a new state-of-the-art, certified lyric theatre in the heart of Entertainment City. This majestic performance venue boasts of an astronomical line-up of performance artists and events; both local and international, in the months to come.
THE THEATRE is an astounding building of international quality, unique features, and brimming with technical design and innovation. Designed by Aedas, a leading global architecture and design firm, the theatre is an additional setting in the arts and entertainment community for a concert and performing arts venue. Solaire Resort and Casino’s 1760-seat theatre, fitted with high-end audio, video and production lighting systems provided by Las Vegas-based theatre consultant group Coherent Design. It is designed to provide an unparalleled audio-visual experience for a wide range theatre plays and musicals, dance performances, concert events, and amplified music & speech events.
The fan-shaped theatre layout boasts of flawless sight lines from each and every seat, ensuring a first-class viewing experience for all audience members. The theatre’s seating is arranged over two levels (Stalls and Balcony) with two classes of seating for the patron’s choice. Solaire’s theatre accommodates up to 10 wheelchairs exceeding basic statutory requirements. Each wheelchair space is occupied by a standard seat with a demountable base allowing the operator to configure the best seating position for any given event. Disabled facilities include extensive infrastructure built into the theater to allow for the use of an Infra-Red or RF based belt-pack hearing impaired system for particular patrons.
The Reception Room and other dressing room facilities provide a comprehensive suite of services for the best performing artists on and off stage. The location on the 2nd level is the Grand Foyer with a theatre cafe and bar which can provide a wide range of refreshments suitable and convenient for guests. The theatre may be used as a possible space for various types of events, conferences, seminars, meetings, award ceremonies, product launches, school events, community events and more.
The Theatre at Solaire opens its doors for the holidays with the first International Broadway show CHICAGO from December 2 to 21, 2014.
