Microsoft has announced that it will bump up its free cloud storage for OneDrive, from 7GB it will soon start with free 15GB for all users.
The new offering puts OneDrive up to par with Google Drive which is also offering free 15GB worth of cloud storage. In addition, all Office 365 subscribers will get 1TB of OneDrive storage.
“For Office 365 Home ($9.99/mo) you’ll get 1 TB per person (up to 5 people), and with Office 365 Personal ($6.99/mo) and University ($79.99/4yr) you will get 1 TB per subscription.”
Finally, OneDrive is also dropping their monthly prices for their other storage capacities, now at $1.99 for 100 GB (previously $7.49) and $3.99 for 200 GB (previously $11.49).
The new updates will take effect in July, while Office 365 subscribers will automatically be moved to the lower prices.
