Jolla smartphone with Sailfish OS officially launched

Jolla (pronounced Yol-la), the first smartphone to run the Sailfish OS has been officially launched in Finland.

The Jolla smartphone sports a 4.5-inch IPS display with qHD resolution or equal to 245ppi, Gorilla Glass 2, an 8 megapixel rear camera, 16GB of internal storage, and LTE connectivity.

Powering the device is a 1.4GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon CPU, 1GB of RAM, and Sailfish OS beta which will get frequent system updates via OTA.

The Jolla smartphone comes in 9 color options and has a price tag of 399 Euros or almost Php24,000. International availability is yet to be announced.
