Remember the good old days when our mobile devices are able to last 2 days (maybe even more) with moderate use? Well ever since we traded our clunky call/text phones to smartphone, that feat is nothing but a fleeting dream. Gladly, we have accessories such as the MiLi Power Sunny that can stretch our device’s mileage in dire times.
Power Banks come in all shapes and sizes and are being offered in variety of capacities. These accessories are priced depending on the battery capacity and other fancy features that come with it. In order to find the balance between price and capacity, the key is to know what’s the battery capacity of the device that you’ll be pairing it with.
Now going back to the MiLi Power Sunny, this power bank’s battery is rated at 3100mAh which is big enough to fill up most mobile devices such PMPs (Personal Music Players) and smartphones. The accessory comes with a pair of full-sized USB cables; one intended for previous generation iPod, iPhone and iPad while the other terminates to a female port that accepts the mini and micro-USB adaptors that are also included in the package.
All it takes is a couple of hours to fully charge Power Sunny. During our test, we tried draining a Sony Xperia ZL (which has a battery rating of 2730mAh) down to 1%, and then charged it using the Power Sunny. It was able to fill it up to 90% at a rate of 30% per hour. Considering that the smartphone was kept on during the entire duration of charging, the performance we got out of the power bank isn’t too shabby at all as it still was able to almost double the battery life of the device.
