Singapore Tourism Board inrtoduces PinoyLah: The Filipino guide to Singapore

The reasons to visit Singapore get even better with PinoyLah , the new feature-packed website that showcases the many marvels that make Singapore the ideal lifestyle haven for the Filipino jet-set.

The Singapore Tourism Board-Philippines (STB-P), the dynamic force behind Singapore’s bustling tourist scene, is launching its first interactive website for Filipinos this September. To kick off the launch, STB-P gathered members of the local media to a website preview and food fest featuring the best of authentic Singapore cuisine in an event entitled “Living Lah Online!” at the Makansutra Asian Food Village, Manila Ocean Park.

Mall-goers and young urbanites will also be able to explore Singapore the Filipino way through hands-on navigation of the website, take home exciting giveaways and raffle prizes, and join fun activities that showcase the numerous wonders of Singapore during the day-long consumer launch at The Podium on September 20.

The website hosts an enviable lineup of features that are set to bolster Singapore’s image as an exciting destination and entrench its position as the top retreat for Filipino travelers. It also offers engaging casual content, personal tips from other Filipinos, links to other Pinoy blogs, and fresh Pinoy insights into the various leisure attractions and hotspots that show the undeniable ‘Filipino’ side of Singapore. The user experience is further enhanced with a website design that reflects the graphic Filipino lifestyle.

Some of the website’s sections include ‘Gimik Guides’ that direct visitors to the Lion City’s top party destinations and offer updated schedules of the biggest happenings in the metro. The website has a nifty ‘Travel Tayo’ page that provides tips on how to travel smart in Singapore, and ‘Hot Deals’ that introduces the latest promos and online tilts with amazing prizes up for grabs. The website also treats Filipinos to special previews of up-and-coming Singapore events, like this year’s exhilarating FORMULA OneTM SingTel Singapore Grand Prix.

Pinoylah is meant to express Pinoy pride with a Singaporean slant. It draws inspiration from the iconic expression Singaporeans use to spice up sentences, from declaring friendly affirmation with “OK, lah,” or showing strong encouragement with a “Come on, Lah!” Combining fascinating Singapore culture with Filipino dynamism, the website gives Pinoys a taste of the exciting ‘Lah’ culture while hinting that Pinoys have just as much ‘Lah’ in them as Singaporeans.
