Torvalds talks about where Linux is heading

Linux creator Torvalds said that people can expect more improvements in Linux graphics, wireless networking capabilities, and even virtualization despite his personal lack of interest in the area according to an article of InformationWeek.

With new releases of Linux’s Kernel, it continues to test the limits of open-source development process. It continuously adds more features while maintaining quality and stability.

InformationWeek tried to get some perspective of what lies ahead for Linux in 2008 by interviewing Torvalds via email. Topics asked to Torvalds includes development process, new features, and whether he is concerned about potential patent litigation. (more…)
