Angry Birds Transformers: Autobirds vs Deceptihogs

A new franchise of the popular game from Rovio is soon to hit stores and this time, it would be themed with the Hasbro robots that we’ve loved from way before. The Angry Birds Transformers will still revolve on the ever-long battle between the birds and hogs and will have “birds disguised as robots in disguise”.

Though there’s no news on how exactly its gameplay would go, we can only imagine having its iconic way of gaming..but of course with robotic pigs and birds transforming! Both Rovio and Hasbro are also planning to release products like NFC-powered telepods that are for sale alongside the app. Just like before, acquiring one gives your in-game character power-ups and unique abilities.

We’ve seen quite a lot of different franchise in the past like the RPG-styled Angry Birds Epic and Angry Birds Star Wars that got its fans excited. The game will have a timely release with the new Transformers movie so we’re expecting both fans of the classic animation and of the game to bite into this.

The game, once it becomes available, will most likely be free just like its previous versions and will only charge players with in-app purchases.

New Angry Birds Epic now a Final Fantasy-like RPG

Tired of playing the same old Bird games? Rovio has just announced that its next installment of the Angry Bird franchise will involve RPG gameplay with customizable armors and weapons — the Angry Bird Epic.

Angry Bird Epic, as reported by Kotaku, is an adventure game that veers away from the old physics-based gameplay and introduces a new turn-based battle between the same birds and pigs that fans have been familiar with. How? Just imagine the popular Final Fantasy games where you take turns, choose your move, and attack your opponents.

It features a story (most probably continuing where they left off) and a new crafting system so players can modify their weapons, armors, and potions from in-game purchases using accumulated points or real-life currency.

Angry Birds Epic will have a soft launch later this week in iTunes store for Canada and Australia, and will later on be available globally for iOS, Android, and Windows Phone 8.

Will this be the new Bird game that will once again eat hours of our time?

Tech This Out: Be Iron Man, Angry Birds Friends & More

The weekend is here, so we’ve decided to compile a few things that we found interesting. Iron Man 3 is still around theaters, and a new version of Angry Birds arrived on Android. Keep reading, unwind a little and most of all — tech this out.

BATMAN VS IRONMAN

This infographic has been long out, and some of you might have already seen it. It shows the total cost of being Iron Man – which is around $1,612,717,000! The details here only considered Iron Man 2, and if you’ve watched Iron Man 3, you’ll see that Tony Stark has a lot more armors in store, reaching up to Mark 42, so expect that price to be significantly higher.

Batman also has one, and as you’d expect, it’s significantly cheaper. You can see the full infographics here & here, since it takes up so much space.

ABF

In the side of gaming, Rovio just wouldn’t quit as it releases Angry Birds Friends for Android. The game is out on Facebook and iOS too, and this one aims on connecting you with your friends, letting you compare scores & use new game elements. You need to connect to Facebook – obviously, and you can download it here for Android and here for iOS.

PLAGUE INC

If you still need new games to try and you would call yourself a strategist, try out Plague Inc. In this game, you take on the roles of different microorganisms, from bacteria to viruses. The goal is to infect every country and every person in the world, and kill them off before they find the cure for you. It costs $.99 for iOS (download here) and free for Android (download here) – although to fully enjoy all the game elements, there are in-app purchases pushed.

EYN

The idea has been out for quite some time now, but we also thought of sharing it with you since it’s brilliant. EYN stands for everything you need, and the company makes cases for the iPhone. They’ve embedded a mini wallet, a place for a couple of your cards and a mirror into your case so that you no longer need to bring so much stuff.

It’s selling for $29.99 abroad, and it’s a very cool idea to entertain. We’re hoping to see more intuitive accessories for more kinds of phones in the future, and we’re pretty sure Filipinos can push that to the limit.
