Globe has announced that the Huawei P9 can now be had for free under Globe’s myLifestyle postpaid Plan 1499.

The Huawei P9 was first announced in April. It features dual 12MP rear cameras that are co-engineered by Leica, Kirin 955 octa-core CPU, and 3GB RAM. It is priced at Php23,990, but you can avail it at Globe free at postpaid Plan 1499. You can read our review here.

Samsung outs the Galaxy J7 Prime

Samsung has a new smartphone that’s been lurking around the web and it’s now finally out as it gets listed on the company’s Vietnamese website.

The Samsung Galaxy J7 Prime is a 5.5-inch full HD smartphone that has some pretty decent specs and metal build along with it. It’s got an octa-processor clocked at 1.6GHz, 3GB of RAM, and 32GB of internal storage that’s expandable via microSD card. There’s an ample 3300mAh battery on board.

Camera-wise, a 13MP and 8MP shooters are loaded onto the handset. The usual connectivity suite is present on the J7 Prime and also a fingerprint scanner.

Moto Z Play now official w/ a 3510mAh battery and 3.5mm jack

Lenovo has finally announced the third member of the Moto Z family — Moto Z Play. Unlike the Moto Z and Moto Z Force, the new Moto Z Play has mid-range specs. Good news is that it’s still compatible with the MotoMods accessories.

The device has a 5.5-inch full HD AMOLED display and is powered by a Snapdragon 625 chipset. It has 3GB of RAM and 32GB of expandable storage. A 16MP rear shooter with laser AF is present and also a 5MP wide-angle selfie camera with its own LED flash in the front. The Z Play has a beefy 3510mAh battery with a claimed battery life of “50 hours”. It runs Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow out of the box.

The Moto Z Play has a glass back which is a different design take from its siblings. Another different about the Z Play is the inclusion of a 3.5mm headset jack. So, there’s no need to worry about adaptors.
