New LG Wine Smart is an Android flip phone with touchscreen

LG Electronics announces the official launch of its new Wine Smart. Aiming “to make the transition from feature phone to smartphone as seamless as possible,” the flip phone admittedly has conservative specs but runs on the latest Android Lollipop so users still navigate on a very updated operating system.

LG Wine Smart specs:
3.2-inch HVGA display @ 480 x 320 resolution (touchscreen)
1.1GHz quad-core processor
1GB RAM
4GB internal storage
Expandable via microSD
3MP rear camera
VGA front camera
3G, 4G LTE
117.7 x 58.7 x 16.6mm (dimensions)
143 grams (weight)
1700mAh battery (removable)
Android 5.1.1 Lollipop
Colors: Burgundy/Navy

It’s important to take note that this was previously introduced as a Korea-exclusive phone known as LG Gentle, but the company tweaked the specs a bit and now introduces it to international markets. What’s interestingly fresh about the new Wine Smart is that its 3.2-inch display is now a touchscreen and users can opt to navigate this clamshell phone using its display and not be limited to the physical keys.

Pricing is still unknown but the company says it will be available later this month in countries including France, Italy, Poland, Spain, Kazakhstan, and Japan, among others.
