2015 Moto G will allegedly arrive on July 28th

We’ve seen the success of the 2014 Moto G that performed well for a midrange device. In addition to  its good performance, the handset was also positioned competitively in terms of price. This time around, the company is expected to launch a refreshed version and it could be as soon as this July 28.

OPPO Mirror 5 unveiled ahead of launch

A series of images have leaked across the internet unveiling the still-unannounced OPPO Mirror 5. Check out the online photos after the break.

GSMArena reports that the upcoming Mirror 5 will have 2GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage, and will run on Android 5.1 Lollipop with Color OS layered not top. In addition, it will sport a rear camera with unspecified megapixel count but will have OPPO’s Pure Image 2.0+ interface and a 5MP front camera

As seen on the images, the Mirror 5 looks edgy with its diamond-patterned back cover that looks like it’s made of glass. It also carries a somewhat slim form factor which, despite its midrange specs, makes the device stand out in general, at least in terms of looks physique-wise.

As for its pricing and availability, we still have to wait out a bit longer until OPPO makes an official announcement.

LG PH teases local availability of mid-range Magna

LG Philippines over its Facebook page gives a quick teaser of the arrival of one of the four mid-range phones announced back in February. The LG Magna promises a not-so-steep price tag while having decent specs and performance.

LG Magna specs:
5.0-inch HD display @ 1280 x 720 resolution, 294ppi
1.3GHz Quad-Core CPU (3G)
1.2GHz Quad-Core CPU (LTE)
1GB RAM
8GB internal storage
8MP rear camera
5MP front camera
LTE Cat. 4
HSPA+ 21Mbps
2,540mAh removable battery
Android 5.0 Lollipop
139.7 x 69.9 x 10.2mm

A photo of the LG Magna was uploaded with the caption, “Curved phones are finally here in the Philippines!”. For those unfamiliar, it boasts a curved back for better handling and a wide-angle front camera to accommodate more people during a group selfie.

The handset is also loaded with features like Glance View, Gesture Shot, and Touch & Shoot, but as we’ve mentioned earlier its most attractive characteristic is a midrange price that should justify the kind of performance its users will be getting.

Interested in this upcoming handset? If the units are already here in the Philippines then it’s only a matter of time until they make it available. Stay tuned as we’ll be keeping tabs on its local announcement.
