ASUS ZenScreen is a 15.6-inch monitor for people on-the-go

ASUS has been dropping a number of consumer products under their Zen line of devices. The latest to join the bunch is a 15.6-inch monitor that will please those who are in need of popping out a display whenever they need it.

asus-zenscreen

The ASUS ZenScreen is the “world’s lightest and slimmest full HD portable monitor” as the company claims due to its 8mm waistline and less than two pounds of heft. It utilizes a USB Type-C port for transmitting power and video to the display.

The display has a thin bezel of just 6.5mm making it ideal as a second monitor for your laptop or anywhere you need it. It comes with a foldable smart case which also acts as a stand — vertically or horizontally. You can also practically use a pen through the hole below the display to make the screen stand.

No exact release date yet but ASUS has already stated the ZenScreen to be priced at 269 Euro or approximately Php8,900.

IFA is set to happen this first week of September and in line with that, Huawei just sent out teasers of what could be an introduction to a new sub-brand just like the Honor line of smartphones.

huawei-ifa-2016

The teaser aims to “Defy Expectations” and it will happen on September 1, 2016. Nothing much was disclosed but a report from PhoneArena stated that during an interview with Kevin Ho, President of Handset Product Line, he mentioned that a new sub-brand will be introduced by Huawei at IFA.

The report then added that this new direction will be offering mid-range handsets for its target consumers.

Will Huawei indeed defy expectations like what they did with the release of the P9? September 1 is almost a week away and we’ll soon find out. Until then, keep it locked here as we wait for more details.
