DMCI and Kensington cap “The Amaryllis” completion

Resort-themed residences builder DMCI Homes and project partner Kensington Management Corp. (KMC), an affiliate of Anflo Management & Investment Corporation (ANFLOCOR) Group of Companies have capped off the completion of the 22-storey “The Amaryllis” by inaugurating the amenities of the residential condominium in New Manila, Quezon City recently.

Family members from both Consunji and Floirendo families (owners of DMCI and KMC, respectively) graced the blessing of The Amaryllis’ lounge area, lap pool and fitness gym on the ground floor and the Sky Lounge and Sky Park at the roof deck during the Nov. 15 event dubbed “Harvest”, which also celebrated the outstanding result of their long-time friendship.

“It is a great opportunity to work with some old friends, family friends, and put something together that is going to stand out,” Dave Consunji, grandson of DMCI Homes founder David M. Consunji, told homebuyers, colleagues, guests and KMC officials led by Linda Florendo Lagdameo.

Consunji recalled that it was tough for KMC patriarch, the late Antonio O. Floirendo Sr., to part with his property, where The Amaryllis now stands, to develop it into a modern residential community.

“This lot held a special place in his (Floirendo’s) heart because this was where he really intended to live. But it came out very nicely, so I’m very happy about it,” said Consunji of The Amaryllis.

“If our grandfather was here today, I think he’d be happy with what he’d see. In fact, he’ll be very impressed,” said KMC representative Cary Floirendo Lagdameo, grandson of Floirendo, during the blessing ceremony. “For sure, this is going to be a landmark building here for decades to come.”

“We have a lot of fond memories here. But now, I’m looking forward to the numerous families moving here and creating their own memories,” said Lagdameo.

The blessing of the amenities was followed by the traditional coin-tossing for good fortune, refreshment and mini concert from the Leggiero Strings and Chamber Orchestra.

Indeed, happy family moments will spring once more from the beloved place as the two companies are turning over to homeowners 450 2-bedroom, 3-bedroom and 4-bedroom units of the nearly sold out low-density, modern tropical-themed enclave.

Start-up families will surely enjoy comfortable living in the elegant and spacious homes, whose sizes range from 55 to 105.5 square meters. They will also do so in stylish fashion through The Amaryllis’ beautiful, secure and exclusive environment as well as a premium location: New Manila.

The Amaryllis has DMCI Homes’ signature resort-style design that makes city living truly relaxing. A landscaped garden and gazebo in the swimming pool area give that vacation feel. Residents will have scenic views from the Sky Park and Sky Lounge. A grand lobby gives a hotel-like welcome to homeowners and guests.

Units open up to a central atrium on every five floors while single-loaded hallways in other floors complement landscaping, enhance privacy and bring in natural air and light. Unit balconies and windows provide added natural ventilation. DMCI Homes ensures high quality and durable units backed by two-year warranty.

The community has a gated entrance, electrified perimeter fence and 24-hour roving security guards. Safety features include fire alarm and fire hose cabinets along corridors and fire exits on both wings of the L-shaped building.

The Amaryllis’ special spot at the corner of E. Rodriguez Sr. Ave. and 12th Street offers residents urban convenience. The spot is close to reputable schools like St. Joseph College’s, Trinity University of Asia, St. Paul University and Immaculate Concepcion Academy. Shopping and leisure can be done in nearby Waltermart, Puregold, Gateway Mall and Robinson’s Magnolia. St. Luke’s Hospital and De Los Santos Medical Center are along E. Rodriguez Sr. Avenue.

An urban oasis at Sorrel Residences

One of the most anticipated high-rise residential developments in the metro has finally been completed structurally and is now poised to provide the same kind of tropical themed, resort-inspired community that many Filipino families have come to love — and look for — in a home.

Nestled in a modest 3,813-sqm. area along Sociego St. in Sampaloc, Manila, property developer DMCI Homes’ newest condominium development was opened to the public recently to give its would-be residents an actual feel of how it will be like to live in this urban oasis. The new development, called Sorrel Residences, is slated to be fully completed by the first quarter of 2015. This means unit owners can already start moving in as early as January next year.

As if to herald its on-time completion in the same way that other projects of DMCI Homes have been delivered, the grand launching of the 27-storey, single tower development’s lobby and Sky Lounge was also held recently amid a resort-inspired party atmosphere. Guests were treated to a smorgasbord of fun, food, and merriment at the Sky Lounge while the kids had a fun-filled day at the children’s playground located at the lobby. One-bedroom and two-bedroom model units, meanwhile, were also showcased for the whole family to take a look at.

“We have already completed the lobby and the Sky Lounge on the roof deck, and the next stage is simply to add on the finishing touches inside the units. We have already reached this particular stage of the development and as promised three years ago, we will again be able to deliver another quality project on time and based on required project specifications,” beams Dennis Yap, project manager of DMCI Homes. “More than the on-time completion of our projects, what we are actually championing now is project quality in all aspects of the development.”

DMCI Homes, which is known in the industry for creating developments that last, has again put new innovative design features in the building which not only ensures structural quality but also useful design features like single loaded corridors, sky patios, and garden atriums located at every five floors of the building. Sorrel Residences also comes with first-rate amenities, recreational facilities and building features, strategic location, worry-free living, and more importantly, DMCI Homes’ untarnished 55-year construction legacy.

This gated and purely residential community takes your safety to the next level as its boasts of an electrified perimeter fence and 24/7 roving security guards. CCTV provisions also provide added comfort and security for its would-be residents.

In addition to its easily accessible and convenient location, being just a few blocks away from V. Mapa and Ramon Magsaysay Boulevard, Sorrel Residences also affords residents with peace of mind and worry-free living. Its unique location ensures that residents get shielded from noise and pollution coming from major thoroughfares while still offering unparalleled access to important places in the metro.

Shopping at the Gateway Mall, Puregold, Isetann, and SM Centerpoint is just a short drive away, while schools in the university belt area are just a few minutes ride away via the LRT station.

For nature-lovers, there’s also the observatory and Sky Park which offers scenic views of Makati and Manila Bay. Unlike in other developments, Sorrel Residences has also put up a high-tech gym at the roof deck so fitness buffs can exercise while looking at scenic views behind its all-glass windows.

Additional facilities that make living at The Amaryllis more convenient and worry-free are three (3) high speed elevators, individual mailboxes, a laundry station, 100% back up stand-by power generator, and overhead water tank, water station, and property management office.
