SE7EN: A Year end Blog Post

A few hours to go and we will bid goodbye to 2012. The year has been very exciting for me. Got so many blessings and more opportunities to travel and explore the beauty of the Philippines. I had ups and downs. But what is important is that we got to stand up once again.

Today we look back at some of the most memorable trips I have done in 2012. I actually started this series in Facebook, but will now compile everything here. So here it is…

Got kissed by the sun in Manjuyod Sandbar!

White Sand, as far as the eye can see, almost. That’s Manjuyod Sandbar in Negros Oriental. It was my first time to visit this 7-kilometer sandbar.

Santa Monica Beach Resort, Dumaguete City

When I first received the invitation to travel to Dumaguete courtesy of Santa Monica Beach Resort, I got so excited. I am so thrilled to return to the City of Gentle People.

Originally we were scheduled to stay in Dumaguete for three days then move to Bohol. But plans changed. The three day escape became 5 days, complete with a signal #3 storm to more excitement to the trip.

House of Cebu: Hotel and Art Gallery rolled into one!

No, this is not a hotel. This is an art gallery! I quipped in disbelief. The hotel lobby is really lovely. Interesting pieces can be found in every corner of The House of Cebu. A new Design Hotel. It has opened its opened its doors only early this year.

The House of Cebu hotel

The hotel is owned by the Filipino and German couple May & Detlef Ernst. The story started when the couple used to travel around the world. Finally decided to settle down in Cebu and built a hotel. They brought with them art pieces and collectible items they acquired during their journey.
