Benchmark for alleged Galaxy S7 variant surfaces

Since most of the awaited flagships have already been introduced, it’s now time to go back to looking forward to future releases. This time it’s with Samsung and its smartphone that should follow the current S6. Sammobile reports that a possible variant of the Galaxy S7 appears on a benchmarking test result which reveals some of its specs.

The Geekbench result shows that the device performs on Exynos8890 chipset with 8 cores, runs on an Android 5.0.2, and is codenamed Lucky. It will have a rather modest 3GB RAM which, along with its other internals, perform altogether to get a 5,434 multi-core test.

This could be one of the variants of Samsung’s ‘Next Big Thing’ since there are also possibilities of a model sporting a Snapdragon processor (just like what the company is currently doing). As of now, take these details with a grain of salt until we get more concrete facts to satisfy the specs-hunger within you.

HTC One A9 specs surface: Deca-core CPU w/ 4GB RAM

As with previous handsets that had their specs leaked via benchmarking the device prior to its official announcement, the long-rumored flagship HTC One A9 has been reported to have surfaced and it packs with it some monster internals.

Codenamed Aero, the results from GeekBench shows that the HTC One A9 is powered by a 10-core MediaTek Helio X20 processor partnered by 4GB of RAM. The CPU is made up of two Cortex-A72 cores, while the 8 other Cortex-A53 cores is split into two different groups so as to rev up its performance to the maximum but at the same time prove efficient in terms of power consumption.

Connectivity-wise, an LTE Cat. 6 is onboard that claims will reach theoretical peak download speeds of up to 300Mbps and 50Mbps of upload speed. The benchmark test reveals a multi-core score of 5,884. This shows that MediaTek’s Helio X20 combined with a generous RAM trumps the Samsung Exynos 7420 which currently tops the benchmarking list at 4,387.

Finally, running the entire show is Android 5.1.1 operating system to make sure user experience is smooth and snappy.

The company has already sent out invites on September 29, so it might be at this event the One A9 will make its official debut. Stay tuned.
