OPPO Neo 5s: Snapdragon 410 with LTE

OPPO has silently listed on their website the Neo 5s, an updated model of the Neo 5 which sports a Snapdragon 410 CPU and LTE connectivity.

The Neo 5s is almost similar to the Neo 5 which OPPO Philippines launched last week. The difference is that the new model features Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 410 quad-core CPU, Adreno 306 GPU, FDD-LTE, and support for 128GB microSD cards.

Meizu MX4 Ubuntu Edition launches in China

Meizu has annnounced that the MX4 Ubuntu Edition smartphone is now available for developers in China.

The Meizu MX4 Ubuntu Edition sports similar specs as the original MX4. The only difference is that instead of Android, it is powered by Canonical’s Ubuntu for Phones. It also has its own app store called the Ubuntu Store.

The Meizu MX4 Ubuntu Edition is available in White and Gold colors and is on sale directly from Meizu’s website starting at 1,799 Yuan or almost Php13,000.

MMDA launches carpooling app, Friend Trip

MMDA has launched an app called ‘Friend Trip‘ that lets you carpool with your friends on Facebook.

Friend Trip is an app developed by Megamobile Inc. and powered by Metro Manila Development Authority (MMDA). The app aims to help reduce traffic by allowing you to carpool with your friends on Facebook.

The app links to your Facebook account so you can schedule trips and offer rides to friends, join trips scheduled by friends, and record all trips you’ve offered and joined. You can also allow MMDA to monitor your trip by submitting the information required.

The app is a free download and requires an Internet connection. It is currently available for Android devices while the iOS version is coming soon. Hit the source link below to download.
