Ekotek Launches Ekotab Encore 2, 7-inch Tablet for under Php3K

Ekotek continues its line of wallet-friendly tablet with the release of the Ekotab Encore 2 – a seven-inch tablet that’s slated to be the successor of the competitively-priced Ekotab Encore D & L.

To celebrate its official launch in the local market, Ekotek is giving away an introductory Php500 discount to those who will purchase a tablet between May 15 to May 31, dropping the tablet’s price down to Php2,499.

Smart Launches New Surf Plus Postpaid Plans

In an effort to meet the growing demand for mobile internet access, Smart Communications Inc. debuts a set of tiers under the new Smart Surf Plus plan which starts at Plan 399 and goes all the way up to Plan 1999.

Most of the inclusions listed above are pretty straightforward, except the VAS Content which stands for Value Added Service. In a nutshell, VAS Content will give users access to a chosen online service or app without any deduction to their monthly data allocation.

Do note, however, that some of these VAS contents have limit. Once a subscriber goes over the monthly limit, they will be charged with regular data rates which will either be deducted from their monthly data allocation or will incur extra charge on of their monthly service fee (MSF).

Here are the various Value Added Service contents that you can choose from with their respective monthly limit:

Stream Savvy: YouTube (600MB) or Spinnr (Unlimited)
Socially Active: Instagram (200MB) or Facebook (Unlimited) or Twitter (200MB)
Chatterbox: Line (Unlimited) or Viber (Unlimted) or WhatsApp (Unlimited) or FB Messenger (Unlimited)
Work Junkie: Gmail or Yahoo Mail (500MB)
Street Smart: Waze (Unlimited)
