How many Apple devices can you buy for the price of an Apple Watch Edition?

Apple launched the Apple Watch a few days ago. It’s a premium device with its base model, the Apple Watch Sport, costing $349 (~Php15,500), and can go as high as $17,000 (~Php750,000) for the most expensive Apple Watch Edition. Crazy, I know. So to put that into perspective, we made an infographic showing how many Apple products you can buy for the price of the top-of-the-line Apple Watch Edition.

The Apple Watch comes in three variants: Apple Watch Sport ($349 to $399), Apple Watch ($549 to $1,099), and Apple Watch Edition ($10,000 to $17,000).

Author’s note:
* Apple products are shown in their current US$ prices for consistency.
* Sample computation: $17,000 / $949 (iPhone 6 Plus, 128GB) = ~17 units

As you can see, if you have the money to buy a $17K Apple Watch, you can buy ten of the recently released new Macbook and some change. Or if you don’t like Apple products, you can surely use that money for other things like getting a brand new car (SEE: 6 least expensive cars in the Philippines), or just be considerate and buy your friends gaming PCs / consoles if you’re that rich.

Samsung releases Animal Edition Battery Packs

Power bank / battery pack wars are usually fought with capacities, that is the bigger the better. But Samsung has a different idea in mind for these devices. Aside from equipping their battery packs with big batteries, they printed it with images of cute endangered animals.

Meet the Samsung Animal Edition Battery Packs. It’s a set of power banks that feature illustrations of four species of endangered animals as part of the company’s ‘Charge the Life’ campaign, which aims to raise awareness about endangered animals.

The battery packs come in two capacities – 11,300mAh which features the Giant Panda and Golden Snub-nosed Monkey, and 8,400mAh which features the Lesser Panda and Fennec Fox. It works with the interactive Charge the Life app for Android which displays the featured animal gradually getting more cheerful as the battery is charging.

Pricing and availability are yet to be announced.
