There have been lots of great movies this year that screened in movie houses, but some people skipped that and just waited for them online to download. Here are the 10 most downloaded/pirated movies of 2014.

10. “12 Years a Slave”
12 Years a Slave won the Academy Award for Best Picture this year. With 23.653 million downloads, it takes the 10th spot for this list.
9. “X-Men: Days of Future Past”
It’s all the X-Men characters from previous installations in one movie. It’s a really cool movie to watch that it has been downloaded 24.380 million times this year.
8. “The Legend of Hercules”
Downloaded 25.137 million times for 2014, this movie from Summit studios follows the story of the legendary Hercules as he fights his way back to his kingdom after being exiled.
7. “Captain America: The Winter Soldier”
Marvel’s Captain America is on the list with 25.628 million downloads and comes in close to…
6. “Thor: The Dark World”
Belonging to the same team, Captain America and Thor are the only members of the Avengers in this list with the latter having 25.749 million downloads. (No love for Iron Man and Hulk?)
5. “The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug”
J. R. R. Tolkien’s The Hobbit takes the fifth spot with 27.627 million downloads. We wonder how the third and final franchise would do this coming 2015.
4. “Gravity”
Alfonso Cuarón’s brilliant film garnered 29.357 million downloads the whole 2014 even if it was released all the way back October 4, 2013.
3. “RoboCop”
Having combined numbers from both the 1987 and 2014 versions, Robocop reached 29.879 million downloads which positions itself in the top 3.
2. “Frozen”
This comes as no surprise. With all the kids bugging their parents to watch Frozen to sing Let it Go, it’s no wonder it made the list with 29.919 million downloads.
1. “The Wolf of Wall Street”
The drug-filled movie Wolf of Wall Street is at the top spot with 30.035 million downloads. Leo still didn’t win an Oscar for his superb acting, but at least viewers recognized it and showed love through downloads?
