Sony demos Android 5.0 Lollipop on Xperia Z3, Z2, Z1

Last month, Sony announced that its entire Xperia Z series of devices will be upgraded to Android 5.0 Lollipop. And since Google has released the source code for Lollipop, the company decided to install it on their flagship smartphones – the Xperia Z3, Xperia Z2, and Xperia Z1.

Sony used the Android Open Source Project (AOSP) version of Android 5.0 Lollipop so Sony’s own UI and software features are not implemented yet. It’s a short demo but it’s good to know that Sony is working on the upgrade which should be ready for prime time in early 2015.

For the list of Sony Xperia devices to get Android 5.0 Lollipop you can read our article here. As for other Android devices here’s our Complete List of Devices Getting Android 5.0 Update.
