Sharing a sick joke

Gloria Arroyo in a wheelchair November 2011

Sunod, sabi ni Valte, “At the end of the day, it’s not a joke.

Di ba sinasabi sa Bibliya (Luke 6:45):”For out of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaks.

Cheap android phones: latest from Cherry Mobile

Two dual-SIM smartphones running on Android Ice Cream Sandwich (version 4.0) were launched by local phone company Cherry Mobile last Oct. 24. The price points: only P3,999 for the Cherry Mobile Flare which is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon Dual Core Processor. The slightly larger Titan, on the other hand, is priced at P6,499 and has a 5-inch capacitive touchscreen.

Flare - Cherry Mobile

Both phones are preinstalled with the Opera Mini 7.5 web browser. It’s something I still have to try in a phone, although Opera Mini overall is well-reviewed. Mostly, I just can’t believe a brand new android smartphone with a good feature set is available at this price.

Titan - Cherry Mobile

The first phone with a touchscreen I ever used was a Cherry Mobile Nova which ran on the now-outdated Android Eclair. It never gave up on me although its operation became rather slow, especially after I used more advanced phones from other brands :) Mostly, my main complaint against these phones is the battery life. You never know until you use one for a long time.

But since Christmas is just around the corner, a cheap Cherry Mobile android shouldn’t be a bad proposition if you’re planning to give a gadget to a loved one or significant other. Also take a look at this brand’s TV phones and wi-fi ready affordable handsets. For more information: www.cherrymobile.com.ph

Aside from the 50% discount, subscribers can also enjoy the program’s gifting feature where they can gift rewards to their friends and loved ones with a simple text, with the items delivered right at their doorsteps.

Also last week, Globe launched the first LTE data roaming service, initially partnering with China Mobile Hong Kong Company Limited and eventually with SK Telecom in Korea.

Globe President & CEO Ernest Cu revealed that they are “working with IPX providers Sybase, Aicent, Syniverse, Citic, Tata, and BICs to allow us to scale up our LTE roaming partnerships with operators from Australia, Singapore, US, Japan, Canada and the Middle East. Globe’s 4G LTE network presently covers 45 sites in Makati City.It vows to quickly expand to cover regions across Manila, Cebu, Davao and other areas.
