Ces’ kidnappers give deadline: P15 million by Tuesday noon
DILG puts up P500,000 each for the kidnappers of Ces and her team.
The kidnappers of ABS-CBN broadcast journalist Ces Drilon, her cameraman and a university professor have asked for a P15-million ransom, which they want delivered by Tuesday noon, according to an emissary.
The emissary, Alvarez Isnaji, mayor of the town of Indanan, Sulu, told reporters in Sulu the kidnappers set Tuesday as the deadline for the P15 million ransom for Drilon, ABS-CBN cameraman Jimmy Encarnacion and Prof. Octavio Dinampo of the Mindanao State Univerisity.

BYAHILO at the 2008 TOYCON Cosplay Contest
Last weekend all toy collectors anime lovers (otaku),and anybody who just loves collecting stuffs gathered at the Megatrade Hall of SM Megamall in Ortigas Philippines for the 7th annual Philippine Toys, Hobbies and Collectibles Convention or more popularly known as the ToyCon 2008.
There were just so much people gathered at the event. There were so many activities lined up for the entire weekend, enough to keep you from getting bored.
As usual there were hundreds of booths selling collectible items like die cast toys to action figures at a much lower price. There were old toys in mint condition being sold to avid toy collectors. There were comics too! For those who love to follow the lives of their superheroes in print, there are several titles of comics up for grabs.
When I went there last Saturday, a Cosplay competition is being held. Cosplay is short for costume play. Cosplay is some sort of an activity where a person gets to dress just like his/her favorite anime character. Most of the time, the cosplay contest is the much-awaited at the ToyCon in Megamall. There were just so many entries last Saturday and the crowd obviously love their getup.
I didn’t stay long at the Toy Con 2008 in Megamall as I have another prior commitment that evening. Kudos to Azrael Coladilla for the successful staging of the 2008 ToyCon Manila event!

Coron Palawan adventure: Banol Beach
Early Sunday morning last week Gail, Marc, Ferdz, Nina and I explored much of Coron Palawan by island hopping. The activity is set to last until late in the afternoon. And one of the areas we went to is known as the Banol Beach.
I was just held breathless the very moment I saw the place. I was so beautiful. There are several huts built for the excursionists for picnic lunch. The beach is not really that long, compared to the 4-kilometer stretch of white sand beach of Boracay.
The beach is short but is very clean. Gigantic limestone cliffs stand on both sides as if guarding the picturesque beach. When we arrived at the area, we were the only tourists who were there. So it was really exciting to feel that the whole Banol Beach is all for ourselves!
There are areas designated for cooking. For our delicious lunch, our boatmen/guide grilled a large Lapu-lapu, several pieces of fresh fished and shrimp.
Entrace to Banol Beach is 100 Pesos per person. Banol Beach is part of the ancestral lands claimed by the Tagbanua Tribe of Palawan.
SEAIR offers daily flights from Manila to Busuanga (Coron Palawan). Daily. Get a chance to win a Coron Palawan Plane ticket! You and 5 of your bakradas can travel to the Island Paradise of Coron Palawan free!
