Lenovo has finally rolled out Android Lollipop for its Yoga Tablet 2.

The Lonovo Yoga Tablet 2 was launched in the country in November of last year. It comes in 8-inch and 10.1-inch variants, and powered by an Intel Atom Processor Z3745 CPU and Android 4.4.2 KitKat. Based on their upgrade matrix, the Yoga Tablet 2 is scheduled to receive the upgrade in July 2015. True to their word, it’s finally here.

According to the notification, the Lollipop upgrade will bring the following key features:

• Upgraded GMS app
• Upgraded UI style to blend with native Android design
• Remove SECUREit, added Security Center (domestic users), McAfee Security (international users)
• Dual desktop mode
• Changed theme style

If you have a Yoga Tablet 2 you can check for the upgrade by going to Settings –> About tablet –> System Update.

Lenovo Yoga Tablet 2 officially lands

Yesterday marks official launch of the Lenovo Yoga 2 Tablet in the country – one of the company’s latest Android-powered slates that inherit most of the things that made its predecessor a hit for tablet users.

First unveiled last month, the Yoga Tablet 2 comes in two sizes; 8 and 10.1 inches. Although it is available in both Windows and Android OSes in some parts of the globe, only the latter variant will be offered locally.

The 8-inch version of the Yoga Tablet 2 can be had for Php13,999 and will come with a free Intel Starter pack. It’s bigger and LTE-enabled sibling, on the other hand, will set you back Php19,999. These two slates will be available in all Lenovo Exclusive Stores and Lenovo Mobile Exclusive Stores, as well as partner retailers, nationwide starting next month.

In line with the launch of these two new tablets and the upcoming holiday season, Lenovo is giving away Php1,800 discount for the first 18 consumers who will buy any of the tablets from Lenovo Exclusive Stores and Lenovo Mobile Exclusive stores.

Consumers will also receive a free copy of “Four”, One Direction’s latest album and one (1) raffle entry for a chance to win free ticket to the boyband’s concert here in Manila.
