New Samsung Galaxy Note 2 runs SnapDragon 600, LTE

While we’re all expecting the Galaxy Note 3 to be revealed this September at the IFA in Germany, Samsung has refreshed the Galaxy Note 2 and used Qualcomm’s chipset instead of their own.

The new variant, the GT-N7108D, comes with a Snapdragon 600 quad-core processor and Adreno 320 graphics.

That also includes the penta-band LTE connectivity that was scarce in the previous variant.

Samsung Galaxy Note II N7108D specs:
5.5? HD Super AMOLED display @ 1280×720 pixels, 267ppi
Gorilla Glass 2
Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 1.9GHz quad-core processor
Adreno 320 Graphics
2GB RAM
16GB, 32GB, 64GB internal storage
up to 64GB via microSD card
HSPA+ 21Mbps
LTE 100Mbps
WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, dual-band 2.4GHz & 5.0GHz
WiFi Direct
NFC, MHL
Bluetooth 4.0
8MP rear camera, 1080p video recording
1.9MP front-facing camera
GPS with aGPS support, GLONASS
Li-Ion 3100mAh battery
Android 4.2.2 Jellybean

The rest of the specs are still the same as the older Galaxy Note 2. Not sure if Samsung will still ship the units here though. Besides, this looks like a China-only announcement.
