Siri reveals Apple event on April 20

Siri has revealed an upcoming Apple event set on April 20. Upon asking Siri when the next Apple event is, she responds with the event that will occur on the said date at the Apple Park in Cupertino, California.

Siri’s vague information has been present across Apple devices such as the iPhone, iPad, Mac, and even Homepod. However, Macrumors reports that the event will likely be a pre-recorded affair without media in attendance and might be live-streamed on Apple’s website and YouTube channel.

According to Bloomberg’s report, Apple plans to showcase its brand new 12.9-inch iPad pro with new mini-LED display technology, A14X chip and Thunderbolt connectivity around April. This somewhat aligns with the statement of Siri. Nonetheless, Apple representatives refused to further comment on the speculation.

There is still no further information about this upcoming event. Stay tuned to our page for more updates.

Exclusive: We got the retail price of the Zenfone 3

We’ve finally gotten the suggested retail price of the Asus Zenfone 3 which will be launched in the Philippines tomorrow.

So far we know that there will be two variants of the Zenfone 3 that will be released — the 5.2-inch and the 5.5-inch, with most of the internal hardware almost the same. The differentiation would be mostly on the amount of RAM and internal storage.

The 5.2-inch Zenfone 3 with 4GB of RAM and 64GB storage will be priced at Php16,995 while the 5.5-inch equivalent with the same 4GB/64GB combo will sell for Php18,995.

There’s no indication that a cheaper 5.2-inch ZF3 with 3GB RAM and 32GB storage will be offered. Perhaps those price points are reserved for the Zenfone 3 Laser and Zenfone 3 Max.

Watch out for our live coverage tomorrow during the Zenfone 3 Philippine launch. In the meantime, you can read our full review here.

Upcoming Google-made smartwatch leaks

Folks over at Android Police managed to get an insider info about what Google is cooking next. Aside from their own Nexus line of smartphone and tablet, seems like the search-giant is already prepping their own smartwatch.

While AP doesn’t want to exactly confirm the info stating that they’re giving the rumor a confidence level of 7 out of 10, the render pictured above is quite juicy to look at. It’s just beautiful if you ask us but, as with any rumor, things could change in the coming days. Nevertheless, here are the upcoming Google smartwatches.

The two wearables have a codename of Angelfish and Swordfish with the former being the bigger device. Aside from its large display, the Angelfish will have additional “shoulder” buttons and sports a more detailed watch face. On the other hand, the Swordfish is a cleaner and smaller sibling. Among the two, it’s also the only one that seems to support Google MODE Android Wear bands. Specs-wise, the Angelfish is a standalone smartwatch complete with LTE, GPS, and heart rate sensor while the Swordfish is more of an affordable variant voided of any features mentioned.

All of this rumor leads us to think that Google is stepping up its game on hardware. Well, why not? The Nexus and Pixel line of products proved that Google is capable of designing the best for their software with OEMs following suit.
