LG L Series III smartphones land locally

LG Philippines has launched its two new budget-centric smartphones, namely L70 and L40, as well as the latest addition to the L Series III roster, the LG L80.

First up we have the LG L40 which features a 3.5 inch (480 x 320) display at 165ppi, 4GB of internal storage and a 3 megapixel rear camera all housed inside its chunky 11.9mm body. Under the hood is a 1.2GHz dual-core CPU, 512MB of RAM and a 1,700mAh or 1,540mAh battery (depending on the market).

Next we have the LG L70 which has a slightly better specs sheet compared to the L40. This smartphone sports a 4.5-inch IPS (800 x 400) display at 199ppi, 4GB of internal storage, 8MP or 5MP rear camera (depending on market), VGA front-facing, and a 9.5mm thick body. Running under the hood is a 1.2GHz dual-core CPU, 1GB of RAM and a 2,100mAh removable battery.

Rounding up our list is the LG L80. This handset has a similar engine setup as the L70, but has larger 2,540mAh battery pack and larger display which measures 5-inch. It comes with a pair of cameras with an accompanying flash at the back and a measly 4GB internal storage.

All of these new LG L Series III handsets run on skinned version of Android KitKat and comes preinstalled with LG’s Knock Code tweaks.

The LG L40 and L70 are now available locally and can be had for Php4,790 and Php8,490 respectively. Meanwhile, the LG L80 is slated to make its local market debut later this month, but LG Philippines has yet to announce its SRP.
