The iPhone 5S is one of the most expensive smartphone to date, especially here in the Philippines. But if you think you’re paying too much for it then you might want to compare price tags with other countries.
Mobile Unlocked has compiled a list of iPhone 5S prices from around the world. The collection is based on the 16GB unlocked variant, “with all prices coming directly from the local Apple stores for each country or a listed official supplier from the Apple site that were available on November 18th, 2013,” tax included.
Looking at the list, the price of the iPhone 5S 16GB unlocked in the Philippines is at $789.37 or around Php34,600 in today’s conversion, similar to the unlocked price we posted last month. This makes the PH price tag the 11th cheapest in the world, with the US taking the top spot at $707.41 (Php31,000), followed by the UAE ($707.56) and Hong Kong ($720.76).
As for the most expensive, Hungary, Romania, Turkey, and Jordan offer the highest price tags starting at $1,000 a pop.
