IBM solutions delivery gets ISO 27001 certification

IBM Solutions Delivery, Inc. (ISD), a wholly owned subsidiary of IBMPhilippines, Incorporated, was recently certified for ISO/IEC 27001:2005 by Bureau Veritas, an independent auditor providing testing, inspection, and certification services. The information security management system (ISMS) standard certification covers IBMConsulting and Systems Integration, Application Maintenance and Support, Application Development, Application Testing, Data Management, and Monitoring.

After performing a detailed evaluation and assessment across IBM’s delivery center, Bureau Veritas’ review process confirmed that IBM Solutions Delivery has an established framework for security management and that this is being implemented and continually improved. Also reviewed were the organization’s risk assessment process, business continuity plan, and mitigation system. Aligning to this comprehensive discipline, with regular documentation and implementation audits, assures ISD clients and partners that security controls to protect their information and assets adheres to the most rigorous and globally-recognized standard.
