First leaked back in December, the Huawei Ascend Mate is probably the biggest smartphone we’e seen anywhere with its gargantuan 6.1-inch display screen.
Huawei is pushing its own custom mobile chip with the Ascend Mate, the same one they used in the Ascend D1 Quad XL which they launched back in December.

Huawei Ascend Mate specs:
6.1-inch 720p display @ 1280×720 pixels
Gorilla Glass
Huawei 1.5GHz quad-core processor
2GB RAM
32GB internal storage
3G/HSPA+
WiFi 802.11 b/g/n
Bluetooth
8MP camera @ 1080p
Li-Ion 4050mAh battery
Android Jellybean 4.1.2
The Ascend Mate trumps the current 5.5-inch display size of the Galaxy Note 2. No word as to when Huawei will bring to the Philippines but their track record from last year might mean they could be a bit late.

Just when we thought that smartphones can’t get any bigger, Huawei continued to blur the line between smartphones and tablets with the premature appearance of the rumored 6.1-inch smartphone called Ascend Mate.

An inch shy of the widely accepted 7-inch tablet, the Huawei Ascend Mate’s 6.1-inch screen is said to feature a 1080p display quality. Its innards are composed of the company’s very own 1.8GHz K3V3 quad-core processor, 2GB of RAM and a 4000mAh battery, all encased inside a 9.9mm frame.
