HTC One Mini 2 press images leak

Following the trend, HTC’s flagship phone, the HTC One M8, seems to be getting a Mini counterpart once again in the form of the HTC One Mini 2, something that just leaked very recently.

As you can see above, the phone looks like it’s going to have the same color variants and textures like its bigger brother. BoomSound is also making its way into the design, and if you would notice, the duo camera system is no longer found here. The rest of the specs and the features are still unknown, but it looks like it’s going to be a tuned down version of the flagship once again judging from the exclusion of the second camera sensor.

HTC announced the previous One Mini back in July last year, so we wouldn’t be surprised if they release it at that time this year or earlier.

HTC One Mini now official: the more compact One

Following the success of HTC’s current flagship phone, the Taiwanese company now decides to release a more compact variant without having much compromise – the HTC One Mini.

HTC ONE MINI

The HTC One Mini still features the lovable things in the original One, namely the all aluminum unibody design, the UltraPixel camera and the front-facing speakers powered with BoomSound. The display size is now also down to 4.3-inches, and the resolution is decreased to 720p. Nevertheless, it’s still SuperLCD and the pixel density is still high on 342ppi.

On the downside, the CPU is only a 1.4GHz dual-core Snapdragon 400 partnered with 1GB RAM. Apart from the meeker engine, HTC also omitted some features that are present on the One like the IR Blaster.

HTC One Mini specs:
4.3-inch SuperLCD2 display, 720 x 1280 (342ppi)
1.4GHz dual-core Snapdragon 400 CPU
Adreno 305
1GB RAM
16GB internal memory
WiFi
Bluetooth
4G LTE
4MP UltraPixel camera, LED flash, 1080p HD video
1.6MP front-facing camera, 720p HD video
Android 4.2.2 Jellybean with Sense UI
1,800mAh battery
132 x 63.2 x 9.3 mm (dimensions)
122 g (weight)

The phone will be available by August on select markets, and by September, it will be available globally. Pricing is yet to be announced.

The rumored specs remain the same – 4.3-inch 720p display, dual-core processors, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage, a 1,700mAh non-removable battery, Android 4.2 Jellybean with HTC Sense 5, and of course, the 4 megapixel rear camera with UltraPixel technology. Take a look at more photos below:

Judging from the photographs, it looks like the One mini is also clad in aluminum like its big brother.

According to the source, the HTC One mini will arrive in August with a speculated price tag of around 400 Euros (Php22,000).
