Suzuki renews contract with Kiefer Ravena

Recognizing the power of sports in the Philippine market, Suzuki Philippines (SPH) renewed its contract with three-time Southeast Asian Games gold medalist and 2010 International Basketball Federation (FIBA) Asia Under-18 Championship Mythical Team member Kiefer Ravena, extending his endorsement agreement with the company for another year.

The 21-year-old University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP) Season 77 Most Valuable Player signed the contract on Monday, September 7, with SPH President Hiroshi Suzuki, SPH General Manager for Automobile Shuzo Hoshikura, and SPH Managing Director and Treasurer Norminio Mojica.

Ravena’s endorsement deal with the carmaker started in 2013, and the Ateneo Blue Eagle player said that his partnership with SPH is his longest running endorsement thus far and that the relationship has been mutually fruitful.

“Being a part of this family is something that I really treasure. Iba na rin ‘yung na-build kong relationship with them. (I’ve built a unique relationship with them.) It goes beyond contracts,” he said.

For his part, SPH President Hiroshi Suzuki expressed, “We have always believed that Kiefer Ravena is the perfect celebrity-athlete to promote Suzuki as he embodies someone who is young, fun to be with, reliable, excellent, and active – in short, somebody who exemplifies the Suzuki way of life. As such, we are very excited and happy for this renewal of partnership as his image and reputation will help make the youth sector relate to the things that we represent and offer.”

All-new Suzuki Celerio prices revealed; discounts for early reservations

Suzuki Philippines amps up the competition in the local compact car segment with the upcoming launch of its newest automobile offering— the all-new Suzuki Celerio. The newest variant of the well-loved Celerio will be available locally in manual transmission and Continuous Variable Transmission (CVT) which will be priced at Php 507,000 and Php 542,000, respectively.
With the car’s official release set this August, interested customers can already preview the all-new Suzuki Celerio on display in all Suzuki dealerships nationwide and make early reservations to avail of a Php 20,000 discount.

The all-new Celerio boasts of being developed with an A+ compact design in mind. The A+ compact concept builds on the strengths and exceeds the limits of the A segment car by implementing the “small on the outside, big in the inside” idea.

As an A+ compact, the all-new Celerio promises to deliver the same dynamism and easy maneuvering that compact cars are known for while offering impressive interior space and luggage capacity at the same time. Compared to its predecessor, the all-new Celerio features a longer body and wheelbase, a wider front and rear tread, and a bigger headroom. The new Celerio variant still sports a K10B three-cylinder engine that produces a maximum output of 67 hp @ 6,000 rpm and 90 Nm @3,500 rpm for excellent fuel efficiency.

Suzuki Philippines President Hiroshi Suzuki shares, “We are very excited to introduce our A+ compact to the Filipino market. With its superior design, best-in-class luggage capacity, superb ease of driving, and outstanding fuel efficiency, we are confident that the all-new Suzuki Celerio is set to be the new standard in this segment.”

Suzuki Philippines Bags Three Global Awards for Excellence

Suzuki Philippines, the Philippine arm of the global automobile manufacturer Suzuki Motor Corporation, received three global awards from the recently concluded 2014 Suzuki After Sales Awarding. The event, held at the Radisson Blu Plaza in Bangkok, Thailand last June 15, 2015, gathered together Suzuki subsidiaries, distributors, and affiliates from all over the world to recognize and award their continued efforts to uphold Suzuki’s commitment to excellence in product and customer relations.

The skill, talent, passion, and dedication of the Suzuki Philippines team were once again brought to the limelight during the awarding ceremony as the company was lauded with a First Place Ranking for Training, First Place Ranking for Customer Relationship Management, and Second Place Ranking for Product Quality.

The Suzuki Motor Corporation, headquartered in Hamamatsu, Japan, is one of the biggest automobile manufacturers in the world. A total of 61 Suzuki Automobile distributors worldwide competed for the highly coveted 2014 After Sales Awards.

“These awards are a testament to Suzuki’s dedication to the Philippine auto market, and our commitment to deliver only the best products and services to our Filipino customers,” said Suzuki Philippines President Hiroshi Suzuki. “Receiving such an honor serves as a challenge for Suzuki Philippines to continuously improve and perform even better in the future,” he added.

Suzuki Philippines’ first place position in Customer Relationship Management is unequaled by any other group in the world this year. This category recognizes the performance of Suzuki companies in terms of availability of customer service offices, the record of customer feedback and complaints, the presence of a database of customer inquiries, availability of proper staff training for customer service personnel and representatives, and the prompt and professional response to customer letters lent to Suzuki Motor Corporation. The Suzuki Philippines team has performed exceptionally in all metrics, making them the sole awardee for the category.

The First Place Ranking for Training is shared by 14 Suzuki subsidiaries, including Suzuki Philippines. In this category, the importance of established training programs and the execution of said programs are highly emphasized. Finally, Suzuki Philippines shared the Second Place Ranking for Product Quality with seven other subsidiaries, for prompt and diligent filing of well-written and accurate Field Technical Information Reports submitted to main Suzuki motor Corporation branches in Japan, Indonesia, and India.
