Ongoing Service Interruptions between Globe and Smart networks

We’ve experienced a number of network problems today and this has been confirmed by the corporate communications of Globe. In an email advisory, the telco confirmed interconnection problems between them and Smart.

This is perhaps the reason why we’ve not been able to receive SMS this morning and several phones calls would not go thru.

Globe Service Advisory: June 10, 2015

We wish to advise our Globe customers that there is an ongoing service interruption between Globe and Smart networks today, June 10, 2015. As early as 2am, Globe customers may experience difficulty in calling, sending and receiving messages to any Smart number nationwide due to an interconnection issue emanating from the Smart network.

The Globe network team is working closely with their counterparts to immediately resolve the service disruption. We will update our customers as soon as the services are back to normal.
