Samsung S4 with Exynos 5 Octa supports LTE

We previously reported that the reason why Samsung had to produce two variants of the Galaxy S4 – one with Snapdragon 600, the other with Exynos 5 Octa – is because of the latter’s lack of LTE support. But recent confirmation from Samsung states that the Exynos 5 Octa processor actually supports LTE.

The confirmation came from @SamsungExynos – Samsung’s dedicated Twitter handle for the Exynos processor, stated that the Exynos 5 Octa processor supports all 20 bands of LTE. The reason why Samsung opted for the Snapdragon 600 model for some regions is because the Korean company wasn’t able to produce enough Exynos 5 Octa processors on time. So Qualcomm gladly stepped in and supplied the chips.
