As part of Ayala Property Management Corporation’s commitment to its environmental responsibilities, it ensures that all managed properties are implementing energy efficiency and conservation programs.
The Don Emilio Abello Energy Efficiency Awards is a Recognition Award Program of the Department of Energy which was initiated by Mr. Emilio Abello, who was the Chairman of Enercon Movement and was also the Chief Executive Officer of Meralco. The recognition aims to encourage companies to contribute in the country’s energy efficiency and is given to those with exceptional performance in energy efficiency and conservation.
APMC has been bagging awards since 2002 and this year, fourteen (14) properties were given the recognition with one (1) Hall of Fame Award, seven (7) Outstanding Awards, three (3) Citation Awards, and three (3) Special Awards. A total savings of 3,067,519 Liters of Oil Equivalent or 11,752,946 kWh was generated by the fourteen properties with UP Techno Hub contributing the largest savings.

The 32nd DEAEE Awarding Ceremony was held last December 4, 2014 at the Dusit Thani Hotel Manila, Makati City.
