CloudFone has quietly snatched the title away from SKK Mobile for having the cheapest Android smartphone with octa-core processor as the company unveiled the Excite 501o.
The new CloudFone Excite 501o features a 5-inch IPS display with a 960×540 resolution, a pair of snappers (8MP on the back and 5MP on the front) and runs on a 2250mAh battery pack.
It’s internals is similar to other budget octa-cores out there, comprising of MT6592 chip clocked at 1.7GHz with 1GB of RAM and expandable 8GB internal storage. This type of configuration should be enough, in theory, to run the pre-installed Android 4.4.2 OS effortlessly.
