Razer Teams Up with Gunnar for New Gaming Eyewear

Hot on the heels of the new Mamba gaming mouse launch, Razer announced that they have partnered with eyewear company called Gunnar Optiks to come up with a pair of “gaming sunglasses” namely the RPG Designed by Razer and Cerberus Designed by Razer.

Both the RPG and Cerberus are designed primarily to reduce eye-strain during long gaming sessions thanks to anti-reflection on both sides of the glass.

Gunnar and Razer also claim that both sunglasses can reduce high-energy blue light, that can cause long-term retinal damage, by up to 65%.

The frame of both the Cerberus and RPG are made of lightweight aluminum which is coated in Razer’s signature black and green paintjob.

The non-prescription model of the Cerberus and RPG can be had for $99.99 and is available with a slight amber tint for indoor (or gaming) use and dark tint for outdoor use.

These new eyewear can also be outfitted with prescription lenses to match the user’s current eyewear. The Cerberus Designed by Razer is available in +5.00 to -3.00 RX range, while the RPG Designed by Razer is offered in +5.00 to -6.00 RX range.

The RPG and Cerberus are available in standard and premium prescription lenses and are priced at $249 and $349 respecitively.
