Canon outs 3 new PowerShot cameras

Not to be outdone by their rival, Canon also unveiled three new PowerShot cameras. Check out Canon’s new range of point-and-shoot after the break.

First up is the affordable Canon PowerShot A2500. This USD$129 snapper boasts a 28mm wide-angle lens with 5x Optical Zoom that extends to 140mm at the telephoto end. It also has a 16-megapixel sensor which is couple with Digic 4 image processor. This camera will be available in Black, Silver and Red and will be out in the market starting in April.

Next is the Canon PowerShot ELPH 115 IS which has an identical sensor and processor as the A2500. The difference between these two snappers is their lenses. Thanks to its 8x Optical Zoom, the PowerShot ELPH 115 IS’s lens extends farther away than the A2500, reaching up to 224mm at its farthest. It is also equipped with 6 Image Stabilization modes to ensure that every shot that you take are nothing short of awesome. The Canon PowerShot ELPH 115 IS comes in 4 color variants (Pink, Blue, Silver and Black) and will retail for USD169 once it hits the shelves this coming March.

Lastly, we have the Canon PowerShot ELPH 330 HS which has the longest zoom range of the three. It boasts a lens that can optically zoom in up to ten times (28 – 280mm). Unlike the previous two cameras, the PowerShot ELPH 330 HS will only have a 12.1MP sensor. But what it lacks in pixel count, it compensates with a High-Sensitivity CMOS sensor and a better Digic 5 image processor. With these two running under its hood, you can bet that the camera will provide outstanding images shot after shot, even in low-light situations.

The Canon PowerShot ELPH 330 HS still has one trick up its sleeve, and it involves sharing. Because the camera is wireless-enabled, users can share their snaps directly from the camera itself (via Canon iMage GATEWAY), or wirelessly transfer them to their iOS iOS and/or Android device via a downloadable app called CameraWindow. User can also print their images straight from their cameras by syncing the snapper to a supported Canon wireless inkjet printers through Wireless PictBridge.

The Canon PowerShot ELPH 330 HS will hit shelves starting this March and can be had for USD$229. It will be available in three colors Silver, Pink and Black.
