First on the list is the new ASUS X550LC – a sub-40K notebook PC equipped with Intel Core i5-4200U dual-core processor and NVidia GT720M graphics card. It’s got a 15.6-inch HD screen and SonicMaster speakers housed inside a sleek form factor with “Spun Finish” design.

If you feel you need a little more power under the hood, you can also opt for the X550LB which comes with an Intel i7-4500U, 8GB of RAM and NVidia GT740M GPU with 2GB VRAM.

Now if a touchscreen display is a must have feature you, then there’s also the new 15-inch Vivobooks namely the F550CC and S551. Of the two, the F550CC has the more modest setup which includes 500GB HDD, 3rd Gen Intel Core processor, 4GB RAM and an NVidia GT720M graphics card. It can be had for Php37,995 and will come pre-installed with Windows 8.
