Here’s the shortlist of devices that’ll get the KitKat update:

Galaxy Note II
• Galaxy S4
Galaxy S4 Mini
Galaxy S4 Active
Galaxy S4 Zoom
Galaxy S3
Galaxy S3 Mini
Galaxy Mega
• Galaxy Light
Galaxy Note 8.0
Galaxy Tab 3
Galaxy Note 10.1
Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 Edition

Just what we mentioned last month, the upcoming update will bring all the things that Android KitKat has to offer, plus something extra on the side that Samsung likes to add on top of the basic stuff.
As always, the roll out will vary from region to region so we might not get the update immediately. Nevertheless, it’s great that Sammy didn’t forget to include some of their non-flagship devices to the mix. Hopefully, the firm will add more devices in the future.

Android 4.4 KitKat & Google Nexus 5 to launch Oct 28?

Google is very clever with teasing their upcoming products. One example of this is putting Android versions in the time on Nexus devices (Nexus S – Gingerbread 2:30, Nexus 7 – Jellybean 4:10 and so forth). Now, KitKat’s Twitter page seems to be making signs towards an October 28 launch for the long-awaited Nexus 5 & Android 4.4.

NEXUS 5

If you look at the tweets below, you won’t see anything so obvious. However, if you dig deeper, you can note that “Everybody dance now!” originally comes from 28th Street Crew band’s song Gonna Make You Sweat.

The next tweet on the other hand tells you to look for signs. Also, This Is It by Michael Jackson was released on October 28.

If the 28s are not enough for you, that you can also note that Google was also supposed to launch the Nexuses last year on a close 29th (but postponed due to Hurricane Sandy). Anyway, it all fits doesn’t it? What do you think?
